Weniger Plugins. Mehr Gehör.
Ich versuche gerade, mein Mixing deutlich zu entschlacken.
Weniger Plugins, weniger Tipps und Tricks von allen Seiten und weniger „Das musst du bei Metal unbedingt so machen“.
Stattdessen möchte ich mich auf das konzentrieren, was wirklich wichtig ist – und vor allem auf das, was ich tatsächlich verstehe.
Denn je mehr Möglichkeiten man hat, desto leichter verliert man sich im Ausprobieren. Irgendwann mischt man vielleicht mehr nach Regeln als nach Gehör.
Genau davon möchte ich wieder weg.
Ich will die wenigen Tools, die ich benutze, richtig kennenlernen und Entscheidungen wieder stärker mit meinen Ohren treffen.
Also zurück zu dem, worum es beim Mixing eigentlich geht: zuhören und entscheiden.
Fewer Plugins. Better Ears.
I’m currently trying to simplify my mixing process.
Fewer plugins, fewer tips and tricks coming from every direction, and less of that “You have to do it this way for metal” mentality.
Instead, I want to focus on what really matters – and, most importantly, on what I actually understand.
Because the more options you have, the easier it is to get lost in experimenting. At some point, you might end up mixing more by rules than by listening.
That’s exactly what I want to move away from.
I want to really get to know the few tools I use and make my decisions based more on what I hear.
