Habe die Tage die neue Doku Hate & Hope von Kreator geschaut.
Man merkt: Kreator wollen es wissen. Erst Mille’s Buch, dann die neue Platte und nun eine 109-minütige Band-Doku über 40 Jahre Geschichte.
Leider habe ich den Film im Kino verpasst und ihn deshalb jetzt auf DVD nachgeholt.
Die Aufmachung ist allerdings ziemlich schwach. Kein Wendecover, kein Booklet, nichts – einfach nur die Disc. Und das Ganze ist auch nur als DVD erhältlich. Aber für rund 14 Euro geht das absolut klar.
Die Doku selbst macht definitiv Spaß und bietet einige interessante Einblicke. Für meinen Geschmack kommen die ganz frühen Tage und auch ehemalige Bandmitglieder aber etwas zu kurz.
Trotzdem ist sie für Fans auf jeden Fall sehenswert.

You can really tell that Kreator mean business right now. First Mille’s book, then the new album, and now a 109-minute documentary covering 40 years of the band’s history.
Unfortunately, I missed the film in the cinema, so I caught up with it on DVD.
The packaging is quite disappointing. No reversible cover, no booklet, nothing – just the disc. And it’s only available on DVD. But for around 14 euros, it’s still absolutely fair.
The documentary itself is definitely enjoyable and offers some interesting insights. Personally, I think the very early days and former band members are a bit underrepresented.
Still, it’s definitely worth watching for fans.
