In my last post, I shared how recording my guitar riffs on my iPhone just wasn’t cutting it anymore. To take things up a notch, I got myself Logic Pro, an audio interface, an amp simulation from Neural DSP, and EZdrummer from Toontrack. I was confident that I’d achieve a professional sound at the push of a button. However, my first chord was a wake-up call—everything sounded powerful but also muddy and nothing like my musical heroes.
It took countless hours of online research to find the right settings and mix. Getting to the perfect sound would still take more time. Stay tuned for more updates on this journey.
