Manchmal hat man einfach Glück. Ich war genau zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Tag bei Thomann und durfte spontan dem Dingwall Workshop mit Adam “Nolly” Getgood beiwohnen. Für mich als langjähriger Nutzer des Archetype Nolly Plugins von Neural DSP war es ein echtes Highlight, ihn endlich live zu erleben. Nolly kam super sympathisch rüber, spielte mehrere Songs ausschließlich auf dem Bass und beantwortete Fragen zu speziellen Songparts, Spieltechniken, Dynamik, Anschlag und seinem präzisen, eigenständigen Stil. Auch produktionstechnische Themen wurden angesprochen – spannend und inspirierend. Die knapp zwei Stunden vergingen wie im Flug und ich hatte einen großartigen, bereichernden Nachmittag.
Sometimes you’re just lucky. I happened to be at Thomann at exactly the right time and unexpectedly got the chance to attend the Dingwall Workshop with Adam “Nolly” Getgood. As someone who has been using the Archetype Nolly plugin by Neural DSP for years, seeing him live was a real treat. Nolly came across incredibly friendly, performed several songs exclusively on bass, and answered questions about specific song parts, techniques, dynamics, picking approach, and his precise and unique playing style. He also touched on production-related topics – interesting and inspiring. Those almost two hours flew by, and I walked away with a great and enriching experience.
