How did you get into the music you play today?
Pete: I actually started out wanting to play guitar. I bought everything I needed, but I didn’t have enough talent for it. I thought my musical journey was over. Drumming was never my passion; I used live drums on my Amiga to accompany a friend playing guitar. One day, I borrowed a drum kit and played around with that friend, just banging on it. That’s when everything changed.
How did your passion for drumming develop?
Pete: At some point, I realized that drumming was the right fit for me, not guitar. The fun of it just developed naturally.
How have your musical habits evolved?
Pete: I’m self-taught, and my playing style has naturally developed from my favorite bands.
Do you have any drumming role models?
Pete: The first drummer from Vader was and still is inspiring to me, although he has sadly passed away.
What instruments do you use in the studio and live?
Pete: In the studio, I use an E-drum set, the Fame DD One Professionals XT. For live performances, I use my old Pearl Export kit.
Do you have any specific equipment preferences?
Pete: Not really. I prefer gear that is affordable, good, and robust.
