….Viele Ideen würde ich heute nicht mehr so schreiben, dienen mir aber oft als Inspiration für neue Parts.
Letztens beim Einstellen meines Multieffekt-Pedals habe ich einfach ein paar Riffs gespielt – zum Glück lief die Aufnahme in meiner DAW mit.
Am nächsten Tag habe ich mir die Aufnahmen mit Pete angehört. Normalerweise entpuppen sich viele Ideen dann als unbrauchbar – diesmal nicht. Wir waren uns schnell einig: Daraus entsteht unser nächster Song.
Nicht alles ist planbar. Musik entsteht im Moment.
Over the years, I’ve built a big riff library. Many ideas wouldn’t fit my style today anymore, but they often inspire new and better parts.
While setting up my multi-effects pedal, I randomly played some riffs – luckily, my DAW was recording.
The next day, Pete and I listened to them. Usually, many ideas don’t hold up – this time, they did. We quickly agreed: this will become our next song.
