Biography of Untamed Rage
Rooted in the underground, Crossover Thrash Metal band Untamed Rage was formed in Dormagen, Germany, in the summer of 2021.
The band consists of drummer Pete (known from Angry Youth, New Deal, K.I.O.S.K., and Radau AG) and guitarist and vocalist Durchde (formerly of Angry Youth and New Deal, and author of the music blog Durchdes Welt).
After a musical break of more than 25 years, Untamed Rage returned louder, harsher, and more uncompromising than ever. Their sound fuses the raw aggression of 80s and 90s Punk and Hardcore with the energy and attitude of Crossover Thrash, forming a distinct and unapologetic musical identity.
Drawing from the social and political roots of Punk, the honesty of Hardcore, and the driving force of Metal, Untamed Rage delivers music that is direct, unfiltered, and confrontational. Their lyrics reflect societal developments, inner conflicts, and dark thought worlds, expressed with intensity and authenticity.
In 2025, Untamed Rage released their first CD/EP “Dismantled Illusions”, produced independently in their own studio. Staying true to their DIY ethos, the band continues to develop new material and push their sound further.

Verwurzelt im Underground formierte sich die Crossover-Thrash-Metal-Band Untamed Rage im Sommer 2021 in Dormagen.
Die Band besteht aus Drummer Pete (bekannt durch Angry Youth, New Deal, K.I.O.S.K. und Radau AG) sowie Gitarrist und Sänger Durchde (ehemals Angry Youth und New Deal, außerdem Autor des Musikblogs Durchdes Welt).
Nach einer musikalischen Pause von über 25 Jahren kehren Untamed Rage lauter, härter und kompromissloser denn je zurück. Ihr Sound verbindet die rohe Aggression des 80er- und 90er-Jahre Punk und Hardcore mit der Energie und Attitüde des Crossover Thrash – und formt daraus eine eigenständige, unverfälschte musikalische Identität.
Aus den sozialkritischen Wurzeln des Punk, der Direktheit des Hardcore und der Durchschlagskraft des Metal schöpft die Band ihre Ausdruckskraft. Untamed Rage stehen für direkte, ungefilterte Musik, deren Texte gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen, innere Konflikte und dunkle Gedankenwelten reflektieren – intensiv und authentisch.
Im Jahr 2025 veröffentlichte Untamed Rage ihre erste CD/EP „Dismantled Illusions“, vollständig unabhängig im eigenen Studio produziert. Ihrer DIY-Haltung treu bleibend arbeitet die Band kontinuierlich an neuem Material und entwickelt ihren Sound konsequent weiter.
