The Internet: Blessing, Curse – and Absolutely Essential!

The other day, our provider had a major outage. Hours without a connection, no fix in sight. Sure, for entertainment, I have plenty of physical media, books, and other activities. But this time, I realized something else: how crucial the internet has become, especially in rural areas, for business and education.
I’m not talking about home office or streaming but about access to opportunities that simply don’t exist locally—or even in Germany. No internet? No access. Of course, the world won’t end, but it shows just how much we rely on it.
