.Into The Gale Of Death.
The songwriting process for Into The Gale Of Death went surprisingly smooth – the riffs, breaks, and parts just came to us naturally. Sometimes things just fall into place without much struggle.
In post-production, we added a few overdubs and lead parts that really elevated the track.
Originally, the song was meant to be inspired by New York Hardcore – raw, straight to the point. But as it often happens during the creative process, the track took on a life of its own and ended up sounding much more metal than expected, with heavier guitars and more groove.
And then there was that “mistake” that turned into a happy accident: while editing, I accidentally copied the vocal verse onto the C-part of the song. It ended up fitting so well that we decided to keep it exactly like that. The section stayed – and got doubled right away.
Sometimes, the best ideas are born from pure coincidence.
.Cross of Betrayal.

Our fourth single, Cross of Betrayal, was a special one for us. This time, the music came before the lyrics – from the start, we wanted to create our fastest song yet. A mix of high-speed hardcore, punk, and thrash metal, raw and full of energy.
The intro combines different samples, including church bells that I had recorded during a walk some time before. These set the dark atmosphere right from the beginning before the full-speed assault kicks in. Another detail that came in late during post-production was the subtle synth parts in the chorus, adding unexpected depth to the song.
Overall, the songwriting and production flowed effortlessly. The lyrics fit the song perfectly – so much so that Cross of Betrayal is a track I still enjoy listening to over and over again.
.Deep Blue Grave.

Deep Blue Grave..
The main riff was born during a jam session at the end of one of our rehearsals. Unusually, I had tuned my guitar down to B (most of our songs are in standard tuning), and I had this riff stuck in my head. Pete jumped in and was instantly hooked. Honestly, I wasn’t convinced—it felt too repetitive to me, and I didn’t see much potential for a full song. But Pete’s persistence pushed us to keep developing it, and we wrote more riffs around that original idea.
We went back and forth for a while during rehearsals, trying to shape it into something more. Even though the groove started to grow on me, I struggled with how to approach the vocals, and it felt like something was still missing.
Once we recorded the first demos, the lyrics for Deep Blue Grave finally clicked, fitting perfectly with the mood and energy of the track. During recording, and especially in the mix, I decided to layer some additional textures with synths and overdubs, which really brought everything together. In the end, I was 100% convinced—this song has become really important to us, and we’re excited to share it with you!

„Sound of Vengeance,“ our second single, has an interesting history that dates back to the early days of Untamed Rage.
The song’s basic structure was one of the first things we worked on as a band. Initially, it was conceived as a high-energy, hardcore-influenced track, with a heavy and forceful sound. However, the addition of a fast-paced section introduced a surprising twist, altering the song’s overall vibe and giving it a new dynamic.
The idea to incorporate additional guitar layers came much later in the creative process. This decision added depth and complexity to the track, enhancing its sonic landscape. Interestingly, both the intro and outro were developed during post-production, marking our first attempt at incorporating clean vocals into our music. This experimentation gave the song a unique feel and showcased a different side of our sound.
As for the lyrics, they were initially just rough sketches intended for another song. However, they found a fitting place in „Sound of Vengeance,“ perfectly complementing the evolving musical composition. This unexpected combination of elements resulted in a track that captures a transformative moment in our band’s journey, blending raw energy with new creative directions.

.Minds in Decay.

Fairly quickly, we decided to release „Minds in Decay“ as our first single. Though not our first written track, this song proved to be cohesive and polished even in its early demo phase.
Through several adjustments to the lyrics and title, we ensured to strip away anything unnecessary and produce a fast, impactful number.
In terms of content, it’s our most personal song yet, revealing its depth upon delving into the lyrics.
