Over the years I’ve collected countless riffs on my hard drive. Some of them wait a long time before they finally become part of a song.
Still, many ideas appear very spontaneously – while jamming or practicing a riff suddenly comes out of nowhere and more parts start to build around it.
In those moments the most important thing is to hit record immediately and write down the notation before the idea disappears again.
