Cutting riffs like film scenes
I often record the first riffs myself – raw, fast and spontaneous.
Later I cut them apart, shift parts around, duplicate small sections or throw out entire chunks. And that’s often when the best ideas appear.
Sometimes the editing process is more creative than the playing itself.
I’m excited to see where this will take us musically.
Riffs schneiden wie Film-Szenen
Oft nehme ich die ersten Riffs direkt selbst auf – roh, schnell und spontan.
Später schneide ich sie auseinander, verschiebe Parts, dupliziere kleine Stellen oder werfe ganze Abschnitte raus. Und genau dabei entstehen manchmal die besten Ideen.
Der Schnittprozess ist manchmal kreativer als das Spielen selbst.
Ich bin gespannt, wohin es uns musikalisch treiben wird.
