Blind Pick: Crumbsuckers – Life of Dreams (1986)

Life of Dreams is an absolute classic and the definitive crossover album of the mid-80s for me. Hardcore and thrash perfectly collide here – aggressive, raw, tight, and straight to the point. Back in the day, it was my go-to soundtrack while skating, and Chris Notaro’s gravel-throated, rolling vocal style stood out as something truly unique. Every track on the album is a hit – no fillers, just pure energy.
Unfortunately, the follow-up album Beast on My Back lacked the hardcore elements that made Life of Dreams so powerful. And while Pro Pain, the band that followed, had its moments, it always felt too blunt and uninspired to me.
But Life of Dreams? Still hits like a hammer. Uncompromising, wild, and timeless. 🛹🔥
