I’m really bothered by how, in a lot of current music, lyrics seem to be treated as just another instrument—just background noise with no real message. Back in the day, in my musical roots of punk and hardcore, lyrics were crucial for calling out real issues and addressing what truly mattered. That’s something we still hold close as a band.
