A Journey Through My Listening Habits: Part 4

In my last post, I mentioned the crystal-clear sound of CDs. They were a revelation—portable and easy to carry everywhere, with no need to flip the record. You could play them in your Discman or car, making them the perfect companion for any journey. One of the best features was the ability to program the song order and skip tracks you didn’t like. CDs also proved to be more durable than vinyl, especially at parties where they could withstand more handling.
Another great aspect was that shorter metal or hardcore albums were often released as collections on a single CD. I fell in love with this new format, while vinyl became more of a niche interest for me, primarily for 7-inch records where many new underground bands debuted.
Stay tuned for more!
