Just after listening to Kreator, I borrowed Slayer’s „Reign in Blood“. Honestly, everything about this album has already been said. Brutal and, in many ways, still unmatched to this day. The double bass is incredible—Dave’s work is phenomenal. If I had wanted to play drums back then, he would have been my idol. No gimmicks, no frills—just short, to-the-point brutality. An absolute masterpiece that was unique at the time. Their first album on a major label, produced by Rick Rubin. There were cries of „sellout,“ but fans were quickly proven wrong by the speed and brutality of this album.
