We’ve decided to hold our band practices at my place. Given the noise levels, setting up a „real“ drum kit wasn’t an option. So, we opted for an electronic drum kit, adjusting the volume through speakers. This was much more pleasant, with a more nuanced sound, and it felt more like a simple studio production.
This setup allowed us to immediately record our ideas in Logic Pro, ensuring nothing was lost. However, this arrangement didn’t last long either, as our neighbors started complaining about the „noise“ despite our efforts to keep it down. Clearly, we needed an alternative solution.
